Today, December 8, was the first day of EcoPro 2021!
We were a bit nervous wondering whether anyone would visit our booth, but we were so happy to welcome many guests throughout the day.
In the morning, elementary and junior high school students who came for their school field trips visited our poster display area to conduct interviews.
It seemed they had chosen themes in advance and done their research in groups, so I found myself nervously trying to answer all of their thoughtful questions as best as I could.
We also received many comments on the feedback board at our booth—thank you so much!
During the first Table Talk, we discussed collaboration between environmental activities and local communities, using three case studies.
Participants shared ideas that we found very inspiring and helpful for future activities—it was a great learning experience.
In the second Table Talk, one of our committee members spoke under the theme:
“Making Environmental Action the Most Fun and Cool Thing in the World.”
The talk resonated with me from start to finish.
I truly felt that this kind of message is a great way to reach younger generations who may not yet be interested in environmental issues.
